Fully Equipped Mobile Medical Units

Self-contained mobile medical support unit with ALS and emergency clinic level capabilities to include:

  • Common over the counter medications and first-aid
  • BLS &ALS Medical Bags, Lifepak 15 monitor & ALS Medications
  • Telemedicine with an on-call physician Medical Director and prescription medication ordering as necessary
  • Temperature controlled patient care area with private restroom
  • 24-hour medical treatment and observation
  • COVID-19 testing and vaccination capabilities
  • Staffed with a Paramedic and an EMT or higher
  • NWCG qualified MEDL or trainee upgrade available

Fireline medical teams (ALS and BLS)

  • 4x4 Vehicle
  • Required wildland PPE
  • AED
  • ALS team has one red carded EMPF and one red carded EMTF or EMPF
  • BLS team has two red carded EMTF’s
  • Can also send Single Line Resources
  • ALS and/or BLS medical bags
  • UTV upgrade option available

Camp EMTs and Paramedics

  • AED
  • BLS or ALS Medical Bag
  • Medical evaluation, treatment, and first-aid within scope of practice
  • COVID-19 screening, testing and vaccinations

Incident Medical Director

  • Virtual contact with Medical Director who is licensed in the appropriate State and trained in Emergency Medicine
  • Provides medical oversight and licensed medical control over all medical resources assigned to the incident

Medical Unit Leader

NWCG qualified MEDL or trainee responsible for:

  • Ordering, scheduling, and supervising all assigned medical resources
  • Developing the ICS 206 WF Medical Plan
  • Coordinating within the Incident Command Team
  • Supplying medical aid and coordinating transportation of all ill or injured personnel from the incident
